Blended Learning: Time, Pace, Path, Place and Partnership
Project Background: As part of the Instructional Leadership Team, we decided to deliver a year-long training for staff on blended learning partnered with the book "Balance with Blended Learning" by Catlin Tucker. The team for training included the instructional coach, SEL coach, ML coach and the instructional technologist (Me.) This is one of the presentations we developed.
Features: 10 presentations were created with activities using a station rotation model for staff. Staff moved to all the stations to learn more about each element and how they could apply the information after leaving the session. Staff were required to show us how they used what they learned in the classroom. This led to great peer-to-peer sharing.
Tools Used: Google Slides, the book "Balance with Blended Learning", Google Sites to showcase staff artifacts and resources.

Instructional Designer: I created the presentations and digital learning stations.
AI: Using MagicSchool AI
Project Background: My client was a Social Studies teacher who wanted to have students create a graphic without text to represent one of the amendments to the Bill of Rights. We decided to use AI to help them with resources and creation.
Features: It was important to teach students about AI and how to use it effectively. I created this presentation to help them understand what AI is and how to write effective prompts for AI. I also created a bot in MagicSchool AI for students to use to research the amendments to the Bill of Rights.
Tools Used: Canva, MagicSchool AI, ISTE standards, NCDPI Social Studies standards
My Role: Instructional Designer: I created the presentation in Canva and trained students in-person about AI. I also facilitated their use of MagicSchool AI and Canva for creation.
Wayground PD Presentation
Project Background: The school needed training for staff on Wayground.
Features: The staff had varying needs for Wayground so it was important to address the differentiation for them during the professional development. Wayground provided a template, however, I needed to change the content to fit the staff needs.
Tools Used: Wayground, Google Slides, ISTE standards, NCDPI standards
My Role:
Instructional Designer: I created the presentation in Google Slides and trained staff in-person about Wayground. I facilitated time for them to build content during the session for immediate use after they left. I provided follow-up meetings as requested to support implementation.
